Bunkers down the left (shared with hole 3) pinch the landing area for most hitters. Ideally, the player will want to approach back-left pins from the right and back-right pins from the left. Front hole locations are a half stroke easier than the back, as there is a backstop that will feed balls towards the hole. A spine down the back-middle of the green creates challenging back pin positions that can be difficult to hold. The safe play is to play towards the middle of the green, leaving a challenging putt from the front to a back location. Challenging back hole locations brings bunkers into play, and erring long can leave a challenging chip.
