Kirkcaldy golf course was designed by “The Grand Old Man of Golf”, Tom Morris in 1904. The 4 time Open Championship winner also played a role in design work at Machrihanish, Prestwick and Muirfield. Old Tom’s creation at Kirkcaldy is a very attractive 18 hole parkland course, with scenic views, lush fairways and smooth greens, which provides a challenge to golfers of all standards. The Tiel burn runs throughout the golf course providing an abundance of wildlife and the perfect place for a relaxing game of golf with family or friends. The course has hosted multiple National Championships, and from start to finish, the course is a true test of golf. The 1st hole opens with a drive across the burn to challenge the golfer from the outset. Our own version of Augusta National’s Amen Corner happens on the 6th, 7th and 8th holes, and the signature par 5 17th hole provides the ultimate risk and reward test – to lay up, or to risk going for the green, which is guarded by the burn at the front… The course is recoognised as one everyone should play while visiting the Kingdom of Fife.
