Originally designed as a dual purpose facility, it operates as a 6 hole community development course and a practice area. Information on the course set up (practice area or golf course) is available from the Dunnikier Golf Professional shop.

The course is now also the Hame of Park Gowf, where the local charity Dunnikier Park Community Golf promotes the game of Park Golf as a way of strengthening physical and mental health and wellbeing in the local community.
