Golfklúbbur Vatnsleysustrandar var stofnaður þann 14. maí 1991. Stofnfélagar voru alls 62. Fyrstu þrjú árin fór starfsemin fram á ræktuðu túni sunnan Grænhóls, skammt norðan Voga. Árið 1994 fékk félagið svo túnin allt í kringum Kálfatjörn til afnota. Á vellinum, sem er 9 holur, er mikið um mannvistarleifar, tóftir og túngarða. Völlurinn þykir í meðallagi erfiður en er léttur á fótinn og hentar bæði byrjendum og lengra komnum.
Vatnsleysustrandar Golf Club was founded on May 14, 1991. There were a total of 62 founding members. For the first three years, the activities took place in a cultivated field south of Grænhól, a short distance north of Voga. In 1994, the company got the fields all around Kálfatjörn for use. On the course, which is 9 holes, there are many remains of human habitation, tofts and meadows. The course is considered moderately difficult but is easy on the feet and is suitable for both beginners and advanced players.
